Driver Hospitalized After Striking Pole On Rt. 22 In Somerset County

A Route 22 driver was hospitalized after striking a pole off the highway during the evening on Sunday, July 9, responders said.

The driver slammed into a pole on the eastbound side just after 8:10 p.m., the Finderne Fire Department said.

The driver was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital by the Somerville Rescue Squad.

The crash is being investigated by the Bridgewater Police Department.
